Give It Up

Hey You, In The Matters of You,

What if you never got to complain,  whine or wallow again.  .  .What if you just gave it up?

How would you feel?  How much more would you get done?  I am reading an incredible story of Alan Mullaly the CEO of the Ford turnaround.

American Icon by Bryce G Hoffman and my favorite part of the whole story is Alan’s almost stoic, defiant unfaltering ability not to complain, whine or give up.

I believe this is why Ford is still here today.  .  .  .  resurrected from the sure dead when almost of all of “Big Business” was bailed out by “Big Government”.

I for one have made it my goal to do less and less complaining,  give up whining and stop wallowing.

Are you with me?

Chase the Dream

Hey You, In The Matters of You,

In these times of instant gratification and entitlement there is a very simple “hole” in a lot of our hearts and maybe yours.

Many of us are scared to chase our dreams,  to put all of our energy and passion in something that has no guarantees to the return.

It might be our love, our business, our faith, our book, our project, our sport or all of the above.

We are scared of the failure of our chasing our dream.  .  .  But let me ask you.  .  .  Does anybody really fail who is chasing their dream?  Is a life of obsessed passion a bad thing?

A human being has evolved to be able to chase down any other animal on earth.  .  .We are goal seeking creatures,  problem solvers and achievers.

We need the chase and are only happy in it.  .  .Its not about being right about what we are chasing only that we are moving towards something bigger than us.

Go ahead and Chase the Dream.
