No Whining

Philippians 2:14 says to, “Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure.”

Have you ever been around someone at work who is always complaining?   Well it’s not very pleasant, is it?

You know the type, no matter the situation they have to find the negative in things.   They’re always looking for what’s wrong or what will not go well.   Perhaps you too have had this attitude about things at times.   You know I must admit that I don’t always like this particular verse from the Bible.   It’s not one of those things that always makes me feel really good about myself.

Well why?   Well, because quite frankly I tend to complain about things from time to time and sometimes it just feels good to whine and complain.  You know, it’s too hot, it’s too cold. Well I don’t want to have to work today, and this is too hard, why do I have to do this?   Well the list goes on and on.

Well how about you.   Do you ever complain about things?

Well in today’s verse the Bible tells us to free ourselves of complaining or arguing about anything.   It tells us that if we will maintain the proper attitude we will set the example of being pure children of God in front of other people in the marketplace.   Well imagine completing your responsibilities and duties at work and even at home without complaining.

So today and everyday, check yourself.   Stop whining and complaining.

Because if you will maintain a positive attitude you will be applying the Truth@Work.
