Hi and welcome, this is day five of the five secrets to hormone balance rock star training. I am so excited to be here with you today. So today we get to learn all about the magic of nutrients because nutrients are what make our bodies function. So remember on day one when we were talking about eat more, exercise less? If you remember that day I talked about the hibernating bear, right? The hibernating bear has no nutrients whatsoever, and so its metabolism shuts down to almost nothing. As a result, it doesn’t need very many resources or nutrients to function while it’s winter time. And so we don’t want your body to think it’s winter time all the time, so we’re going to provide it with some amazing nutrients today.
We’re just so grateful that we can be here together, and I’m just so excited that we can join in from all over the world. How amazing is that? It’s really amazing, and I just love that we support each other here in this group in such a powerful way. I have seen so many sweet, loving comments to each other and it just warms my heart. This is a safe community, where we see each other through the lens of love. We’re all struggling with something, and I think that as human beings, we have to go through a lot of traumatic events in our lives. It’s how the stress resilience that we have shows up in our lives that really matters.
When we can draw a line in the sand and let the past go, we can move forward in a really vibrant way. And that’s what we’re doing this year, right? We’re making this year the year that we stand in our power, that we become the CEO of our own health, that we no longer give the power to someone else to heal us. How good does that feel that you can heal yourself? I’m going to show you all the resources now that you need to gather and consume so that you can feel amazing. Let’s just breathe into that.
So, these last five days we’ve been learning how to breathe more because it helps to take us out of fight or flight mode. Every time you take that deep belly breath, it’s calming your nervous system. We have the fight or flight nervous system, which is called the sympathetic nervous system, and we have the parasympathetic nervous system, or the rest and digest. So, of course, we want our nervous system to be in the rest and digest more of the time because if we’re feeling symptoms of hormone imbalance, we’re in the fight or flight mode too much. So we’re just going to wiggle our bodies down to be in the rest and digest so our nervous system settles down.
