Sure, everyone gets tired at some point. Cortisol is great in the right amount, as it facilitates the fight or flight response and allows the body to function properly; however, when too much of this hormone is released, it can contribute to the havoc that insulin resistance has created. This being said, it is no wonder that women who suffer from PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) are greatly affected by stress.
