10 Common Labor Complications

While most labor and deliveries  roll along without any complications there are a few common labor complications to be aware of.  A babies head may be delivered just fine while the shoulders get stuck.  This may result in the baby hurting his or her shoulder during the delivery process.  Though unfortunate the shoulder generally heals just fine in just a few short months.

Or your baby might not be the the most advantageous birthing position when your labor starts.  This can often be fixed with manipulation of the physician.  A more serious labor complication is  a uterine rupture which can happen if you have had a previous C section.  Make sure you discuss any labor concerns or complications you might be at risk for with your physician.
