YOUR PRIMARY THOUGHT — The Tip of the Spear
When people hear the word fitness they immediately think of physical fitness or exercise, which is a normal response. But in the world of the Totally Fit Life, physical fitness is only a part of the overall system, there are other key components that must be addressed first before a person can achieve a fit body. This week’s article is one of critical keys to unlocking the door to a totally fit life.
Proverbs 23:7 says, for as a man thinks in his heart so is he. So, what you intentionally think about in your heart will eventually be manifested in your life… I call it your Primary Thought.
YOUR PRIMARY THOUGHT
For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7
LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE. FAITH ATTRACTS FAITH.
You attract to yourself resources, strategies and people according to your Primary Thought. Whatever is your Primary Thought, that is what you will attract into your life.
This process is called the Law of Attraction and it works according to the Primary Thought that you hold in your mind. You can deliberately choose what you think about or you can allow others and/or worldly and demonic influences to determine what you think about.
Whether you realize it or not the Law of Attraction is always working in your life.
When you learn to transform your thinking by faith, then you will attract God’s kingdom and God’s greatest blessings. Transformation comes from the (intentional) renewing of the mind. Romans 12:2
When you intentionally renew your mind to think kingdom thoughts…then the desires of your heart will automatically be changed from selfishness to alignment with the kingdom. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
Your conscious mind is your thinking mind. It does not have a memory. It can only hold one thought at a time. The conscious mind uses your six senses to gather information. Your conscious mind accepts or rejects data in making decisions. So, when you make a decision in your conscious mind, a message is sent instantly to your subconscious mind, where in a split second, you will react in a certain way predicated on what was previously programmed into your subconscious mind.
Your conscious mind does not know the difference between what it sees or what it creates. Based on the clarity of the image you create, your emotions tied to the image and the strength of your belief in the image, your subconscious can be programmed to think a thing, situation or circumstance already exists even though it hasn’t yet been revealed in the natural.
Whatever you put into your subconscious mind and believe it to be true will manifest in your life. It works this way every time! There are no exceptions! A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6: 45.
If you think “I can” thoughts then your subconscious mind will find a way to make them come to pass. “I can” do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
The purpose of your subconscious mind is to store and recover data. Your subconscious mind does not think or reason on its own but it merely obeys the commands it receives from your conscious mind. Your conscious mind commands and your subconscious mind obeys. Your subconscious mind is an unquestioning servant that works night and day to make your activities consistent with your emotionalized thoughts, hopes, and desires. You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. Psalm 51:6
After you planted your Primary Thought in your subconscious mind, you must believe it is growing before you see it grow. This is faith which is “the evidence of things not seen.” Don’t doubt your faith, doubt your doubts for they are unreliable.
A thought firmly fixed in your mind will attract the things represented by that thought.
Fear attracts fear. Love attracts love. Lack attracts lack. Peace attracts peace.
A word is more powerful than a thought. A word is a focused thought. Words have power to create. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21. What you continually speak in faith, you will create. Therefore, I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for believe that you have received them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24
Are your words filled with good positive things or with fearful negative things? Your thoughts create your present reality. Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–think on these things. Philippians 4:8,9
If you create in an environment of love, peace and joy then you will attract love, peace and joy into your life. This is Kingdom Culture.
God created ALL things visible and invisible by His word. Colossians 1:16. Faith is the building block of real and walk of all matter seen in the physical realm. Faith is the substance (energy) in the unseen that all physical things are made from. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
An Immutable Key: You create your own reality based on the thoughts, intentions of your heart and the power of your words. The good news is you can choose what you want to put into your heart and what you want to think about…it’s all about the emotional environment you create with your thoughts and your expectations, which is another word for faith. God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17
This key will work every time…so if you can create a healthy positive environment then you will attract and align with the Kingdom of Heaven, on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10 and experience the more abundant life that Jesus promised. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10b
What is the More Abundant Life?
It is a life of joy and contentment, total commitment and total trust, where Jesus is exalted, where self is denied and where the follower of Christ is being used strategically by the Holy Spirit to advance the Kingdom of God on earth by sacrificially serving others through the destiny that the Father designed for you.
You must realize that your Primary Thoughts will be transferred into things when:
- You intentionally focus on your Primary Thoughts.
- You emotionally believe in your Primary Thoughts.
- You speak words of faith regarding your Primary Thoughts.
You must realize that this formula works every time with no exception. You create by what you focus on, what you speak and what you believe. If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20
