Sleep is essential for growing children. They need the extra sleep so they can fuel their bodies. The bones stretch, the muscles develop, and hormones aid in the overall growth of the child’s body. Sleep is the natural way of giving your child’s body a chance to do some growing. While the amount of sleep needed varies from person to person and from child to child, it is still essential that they are able to get the amount that their body requires. Another important point, is that the growth hormone released during sleep also aids with weight control. Sleep balances the hormones of the body, and also aids in building and strengthening their immune system. Sleep is essential for everyone, but most importantly it is essential for growing children.

My son is 5 years old, he sleeps less in day time. Often doesn't sleep at all. At night he sleeps more than 8 hours. Will it impact my child's growth. His weight is 26 kg now.
