It’s so great to be here with you on Day Two of the Hormone Trifecta Training. So we are healing anxiety, weight gain, and fatigue all this week and they are so intertwined, so you can definitely be feeling all three of these symptoms because they all go together. You know Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey or doing a meditation challenge. Today is all about relationships and meditation is so fantastic for helping to quiet the mind and teach you how to get back in connection with your heart. And of course, I always think of so many things to share and we just don’t have time, but one of the things that you want to really look at with anxiety is really checking in with your heart.
Anxiety is very much in our head and that just means that we’re really disconnected to our bodies. So you just want to do what you can to get reconnected to your heart. There’s a great company called Heart Math. I just love them and they’re all about teaching you how to do that. One of the things that’s really hard is you can’t just tell people with anxiety to meditate because there’s a storm going on and if there’s a storm going on, it’s really hard to quiet the mind. So as a result, you have to start slowly and we talked about so many ways to do that on Day 1. So just start embracing some really small changes and before very long, you’re going to feel so calm, so much more at peace and just happier. So I’m really excited for you and I’m excited for the women who jumped into the Five Element System program yesterday.

It’s really cool to see all the different places that we’re all convening from. Today is all about healing weight gain.
All right, so we’re going to rock our weight today. That’s the goal. We’re going to figure this out. We’re going to stop the yo-yo dieting and I just want to say congratulations for choosing you, because when you show up here, you’re choosing you, right? You’re making yourself a top priority. We only have a little bit of time together today, so I’m going to share what I think are the most important aspects of healing weight gain, of releasing weight then I’ll show you how you can learn more. How does that sound?
Then I actually have a special guest coming on in just a little bit and I’m going to share, I’m going to share her with you and she’s going to tell us a little bit about her journey around all three of these topics that we’re covering this week. We’re going to cover assessing your weight gain and what it means. Then the seven major things that cause weight gain and what you really need to be focusing on and what you can do right now to begin to heal your metabolism, to release weight and get back to a healthier, happier set point. How does that feel, good?
Let’s take a look at the assessment. I don’t really have time to go over it today, but you’ll get a sense of where you are when you take the quiz. So for instance, you’re going to be measuring, you’ll need to get out a tape measure and measure your waist, measure your hips around your rear, around your buttocks so that you get the largest point and then you want to see what the ratio is. It’s called a waist to hip ratio and it’s a really good way to tell if you are becoming more insulin resistant. It’s also a sign that you’re more headed towards disease and inflammation. So, be sure that you do your waist to hip ratio and then you divide your waist into your hip. You want to be 0.8 or less and it’s really easy to be, you know, when you look at something called BMI, which is your body mass index, especially as we age, it is so, so easy to get into that obese category, right? 30 and above, it’s really easy. So there’s no body shaming here. There’s no feeling guilty, there’s no negative self talk aloud. This is a safe space. No matter what your score, no matter what your score is on any of these things, it’s only your starting place.
I know for most of us, most of us have been here many times. When I think back to my story, I’ve lost hundreds of pounds over the years. I mean just with one baby alone, right? I had to release 40 pounds. So you know, I’ve gone like this, you know, my entire life. I think we can all say that we can all say that we’d been at some pretty low points and we can all say that we’ve been in some pretty great points. The goal here is to get more feeling great, more of the time. That’s what we want. We want to feel fabulous more of the time. It’s not a straight line, right? It’s kind of a circuitous route.
