1 Thessalonian 4:11 says, “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with excellence.”
Business owners will tell you that there is a difference between their top performers and those who don’t get promoted.
Now although the details vary, the essence of what these leaders say is that the most successful people in their companies don’t spend a lot of time TALKING about what they are GOING to do- they simply and quietly DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE Done!
You see these high performers simply go about getting the job done- without a lot of flash and fanfare.
Well how about you?
Do you spend much of your time and energy talking about what you are going to do- or do you just put your head down and get your job done?
Remember this passage of Scripture. This reminds us that we should simply go about our business, doing our work with pride and excellence, even if others don’t seem to notice or acknowledge it.
By doing so, you will earn the respect and admiration of others, even if they don’t take the time to acknowledge it.
Remember God sees you-He sees your work. So keep it up-and He will reward you as He sees fit!
