PowerVibe Challenge UPDATE 1!

It has been one month since measurements were taken for our three office volunteers!   They got measured again and here is the update for each of them.

Amy is in her early 20’s and had a baby six months ago.   She is trying to tone back up her midsection and lose a few more of those pounds she gained during the pregnancy.   Amy played high school basketball  and other casual sports prior to her pregnancy.    Her measures are:

Amy said “Losing three pounds in a month without changing any habits except getting on the PowerVibe every other day for 10 minutes has been amazing!”

Danielle is in her mid 40s and is looking to tone up and improve fitness.   Her primary exercise is walking, but has not  participated in sports outside of backyard badminton and volleyball.   Her measures are:

since Danielle wanted to improve her fitness she took the HealthStatus Fitness Assessment which resulted in the following:

Reach 16 20.5 increased  flexibility by 4.5″
30 sec pulse 34 48 pulse increased by 14 beats
Sit ups (1 min) 16 22 increased by 6 sit ups
Push ups (1 min) 5 18 increased by 13 push ups
Overall fitness low moderate increased overall fitness

Danielle said “I am so surprised at the quality of workout that you get in just 10 minutes.   I am thrilled that after 4 weeks my score on the HealthStatus Fitness Assessment went from low to moderate.   I also shrunk my waist measurement by 1 ¼ inches!   I can”t wait to see what will happen in four more weeks.”

Greg is in his late 40’s and wants to lose some weight and improve flexibility.   He plays golf, softball and basketball a couple of times a week depending on the season.   His measures are:

Greg also used the reach test in the Fitness Assessment to determine his current flexibility.

Reach 12 18.5 increased  flexibility by 6.5″

Greg said “I actually did the reach test twice, I first reached 12.5 on the scale, then I went and did 10 minutes on the PowerVibe, came back and reached 6 more inches on the scale to get to the 18.5.   My clothes are all much looser, and according to the HealthStatus body fat estimator I converted about 8 lbs of fat to muscle in the month since I originally measured!”
