The Accountability Trap

Hey You,

In the Matters of You,

Did you know that you know what you need to do to change your life? Your gut is telling you exactly what to do.

But then you think about it and the more your think the more trouble you are in on actually taking action on this change you need to make in your life.

How many times have you agonized over making a decision that went on and on but was originally right. . . but you just keep thinking about it.

For years I have struggled to maintain a work out schedule for more than 40 days. I found reasons not to do it, like work, kids or not enough time.

One day I posted to my Facebook friend that I was going on a 90 day challenge. I didn’t think about it. I just did it. I wanted a psychological trap to hold me accountable.

I thought about issuing this challenge for years. . . knowing that if I did it I would be forced through good old fashion Italian guilt to keep my process and my ego.

After 9 years of trying I am now 120 days in, stronger, 12 pounds lighter and a hell of allot healthier. I built myself a trap. . . A psychological trap that has made me healthier.

Try it you might be surprised about how good you are when you build your own trap.
