Isaiah 54:2 says to, “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch out your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.
Recently, I had a great conversation with a very successful businessman. He is sincerely building his business to honor the Lord. Despite the poor economy, he is engaging in a rather significant expansion project with his business. Now this project requires a lot of faith on his part. He told me that he had a wonderful sense of peace that this major expansion was God’s will for his company.
Well I shared today’s verse with him — not to hold back, in spite of any fears, worries, or doubts.
You see there are definitely times in our life when the Lord tells us it is time to “go for it.” To expand our enterprise, our projects, our spheres of influence.
Well how about you?
Is there something that you’ve really felt like you should be doing, and for some reason, you’ve hesitated?
Is there some opportunity, promotion, or expansion that you’ve put off for some time now?
Well maybe it is time to “enlarge the place of your tent-to lengthen your cords- and strengthen your stakes.”
Maybe today’s message can inspire you to “go for it.” Perhaps it is time to just trust God and see where the chips fall.
