Digital Diet

Hey You,

Take a day and give up your phone. . . Go on a digital diet and watch what happens. Your life just seems better. You can read a couple chapters of your favorite book, dive deep into a conversation w/ a good friend. . or just meditate.

Letting go of your phone for a day or even just half a day can change your life. . Here is why. . . You will stop looking at e-mail.

This alone is worth the entire exercise. . . You control your time instead of being ran by others. . . We like e-mail for the exact same reasons we like to play the slot machines. Every once and and a while we win and something good comes out of it, but the house is stacked against us and most of it is clutter for our mind. So use the ability to focus to make a difference in your life

You will not be comparing your life to others. . . You stop watching Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat and comparing the best moments of others lives to your day to day. Even Jay Z, Mariah and the Kardashians have down or regular days, but when you spend your life comparing your average or worst to others you will be miserable.

The greatest victim of the cell phone is the family. . . Try and spend 5 minutes of focus on your significant other, your kids or your mom every day. Spend 5 straight minutes of intentional focus on just one of them.

We like e-mail for the exact same reasons we like to play the slot machines. Every once and and a while we win and something good comes out of it, but the house is stacked against us and most of it is clutter for our mind.

Sounds like a no-brainer but let me tell you when you add a phone to the mix you would be very surprised how this focus gets sliced and diced and the other people that mean the most to us don’t get the focus they deserve or we want to give them.

Take a digital diet and watch yourself and your relationships change for the better.
